SUPER BOWL FUN FACTS
Nationwide this year, 39 million viewers are planning to host a party, while another 62 million are planning to attend one, according to the National Retail Federation’s Super Bowl Spending Survey done by Prosper Insights & Analytics. About 10 million fans said they plan to watch from a local restaurant or bar.
The biggest bucks will be spent by those people throwing parties: About 7.7 million television sets will be purchased for occasion, up from 5 million in 2012. And people will buy an estimated 3.7 million new pieces of furniture for their shindigs, including new entertainment centers, chairs and couches.
