If you want to save money, use “411” sparingly
In 1963 Ma Bell introduced touch-tone phones that were 5 seconds faster than dialing. If you want to save money as well as time, use “411” sparingly. Keep a list of special numbers taped to the refrigerator or tacked on the wall by the phone. Then when you’re in a rush, 411 won’t be needed. Instead you’ll be dialing direct and putting that $.45 to $1 information charge in your pocket
