Waxing Tiles

Question
I have read that you gentlemen recommend waxing shower stalls with auto polish to avoid staining and mildew. Do you recommend this for tile and grout also?

Answer
We suggest that a paste auto polish be used on the interior of acrylic or fiberglass showers and glass shower enclosures to protect them against hard water stains and other mineral deposits in water. The wax also makes the removal of soap and other surface oils much easier.We do not recommend that a paste wax be applied to ceramic tile or grout. We suggest that an acrylic tile and grout sealer be applied to give the tile and grout maximum protection and water resistance.
