The Smell of… A Light Bulb?
By onthehouse on April 21, 2014
Do you like the smell of vanilla, cinnamon and roses? Enjoy French perfume wafting through the air? Socialites say it makes guests feel good, and real estate experts say it helps sell a home.
To make your home smell sweet and inviting — subtly and for hours on end — put a few drops of your favorite fragrance, whether perfume or a special scent like vanilla or cinnamon, on a few strategically placed light bulbs in table lamps. The heat will waft the scent into the air all day or night. Next to baking bread, Mom’s apple pie in the oven or a warm and inviting crackling fire, it’s the best way to say “you’re welcome here.”
