Make a Temporary Storm Window
By onthehouse on March 11, 2014
A great way to eliminate a bone-chilling window draft is to make your own temporary storm window. It really is easy. All you have to do is tape a sheet of plastic all the way around each opening.
First clean up all dust and other loose particles around the opening. Next apply a strip of double-sided tape. Place the plastic so it covers the opening, sticking to the tape all the way around. Then use a razor blade to cut the excess plastic away. Finally, use a hair dryer to shrink the plastic and eliminate wrinkles. Look for a product in your home center called a temporary storm window.
