Loose Door Hinge Fix
By onthehouse on May 11, 2014
Got loose hinges on a kitchen cabinet door? Ignore them and the door might wind up on the floor.
When cabinet door hinge screws work loose over time (and they do), remove them one at a time, and fill the hole with toothpicks that have been dipped in woodworking glue. Trim any excess with a sharp utility knife and replace the screw. If any hole is larger than a quarter-inch, use heavier wooden matchsticks instead — also dipped in woodworking glue.
Catch and repair loose cabinet door hinges early — before they get too bad. With this extremely simple repair they’ll look and act as good as new. Try it.
