On The House broadcasted live from the Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, Florida.

Cynthia Woodruff, VP of Marketing for Rebuilding Together, joins the Carey Brothers to discuss Rebuilding Together’s 15th annual Kickoff To Rebuild event.

James Carey (right) interviews Mr. Truesdell (left) about his family’s story. His family paid a contractor $82,000 for home improvements, but got ripped off. The contractor ran off with the money, left the house undone and not up to code.
Out of money and out of options, Rebuilding Together came through. Volunteers added three bedrooms and another bathroom to the home.

Below is a photo of Mr. Truesdell house. You can see a new roof is being put on.

Here is Mr Truesdell’s grandson, Robert Frasier (middle,) posing for a picture with James (left) and Morris (right). And the Carey Brothers interviewing Mr Truesdell’s grand daughter Shearmene Williams.

And then the whole family got in the act, here is the entire Truesdell family with the Carey Brothers.

Former NFL star Martin Gramatica (left) laughs it up with James (right) and Morris Carey (not-pictured). Martin and his brother Bill Gramatica, who’s also a former NFL player, are honorary Rebuiding Together house captains. As honorary house captains, they put their teams to work providing home repairs, distributing homeowner resource kits, and providing clean up and landscaping.

NFL player Tanard Davis talks with (left) James (right) and Morris Carey (right) about the great work rebuilding Together is doing. Tanard actually grew up in the Coconut Grove neighborhood and is joining volunteers to help rebuild some of the homes in the area.

Kmart played a big role in helping this event become such a success; Kmart donated appliances to each home. In the photo to the left is Senior Vice President of Kmart Don Germano. The photo to the right is Pubilc Relations Director of Kmart, Tom Aiello.
