The Keys to Keys
By onthehouse on August 5, 2014
Country and western singer Patsy Cline was born in 1932. Now if you’ve got a bunch of keys but don’t know where they go, it probably drives you crazy (like Patsy says). But there are ways to keep your sanity.
To keep track of what key opens which lock, simply trace the outline of each one on a 3×5 index card and write down what lock it fits — whether office, home, a gym locker, a bicycle padlock or a storage trunk, or maybe even grandma’s house. Then file the cards away in a safe place for future reference. You can even tape keys you’re not using to the correct card and store them until you need them. They won’t be driving you crazy any more.
