Freeze-Proof Faucet
By onthehouse on March 24, 2014
If you live in a climate that gets cold and bitter, here’s a warm-weather project that’ll make you feel real smart come next winter.
Installing a freeze-proof outside faucet with a long stem that shuts water off a foot or two back in the house (where things stay warm and above freezing) can be a simple project. It requires only basic plumbing skills and a desire to plan ahead (to avoid the inconvenience, mess and possible cost of a frozen and/or burst spigot).
