Cedar Flooring vs. Carpet
By onthehouse on March 9, 2014
What are the pros and cons of using cedar in a closet as opposed to carpet or vinyl?
A great question with a simple answer: The vapors given off by cedar have a refreshing aroma, and, at the same time drive away wool-eating moths. That’s the pro. The con is even easier to understand. Cedar flooring costs about $60/square yard installed. Many high-quality carpets and vinyl can be purchased and installed for less than half that price. In the end it gets down to individual taste versus cost.
